IDF Carries Out Strikes in Syria Targeting Hezbollah

The IDF has announced that it had carried out a series of strikes against “two military infrastructures on the Syrian front [Quneitra Province], where the terrorist organization Hezbollah was operating.”

The IDF added that it “considers the Syrian regime responsible for everything that happens on its territory and will not allow attempts that will lead to the establishment of the terrorist organization Hezbollah on its front.”

This announcement is notable as Israel typically does not comment on its operations, let alone in Syria, so this can be seen as explicitly sending a message to Hezbollah amidst increasing tensions and fears of an Israeli incursion into southern Lebanon.

At least two people were reported wounded in the strikes by local media and regional observers, although it is still a bit unclear if they were Hezbollah members or SAA soldiers.
