G7 nations have signaled new warnings of imposing sanctions on Iran due to their support for Russia’s effort in Ukraine. There has not been confirmation of whether new sanctions will be implemented, but the continuation of negotiations between Iran and Russia is worrying the G7 community. The sanctions being considered include a ban on flights from Iran to Europe, along with others.
“We are prepared to respond swiftly and in a coordinated manner, including with new and significant measures against Iran,” stated G7 officials in response to the threat of new shipments of missiles from Iran to Russia. This comes as Western nations attempt to deter Russian advancement in the Ukrainian region.
