Multiple People Shot in Active Shooter Situation, Falls Township, PA

Update (1141 EST): Suspect is still at large, not in custody as previously reported. Manhunt is underway.

At approximately 0945 EST, multiple eyewitnesses reported gunfire and a shelter-in-place order was given for the entire Falls Township, Pennsylvania.

Eyewitnesses reported that an active shooter armed with “multiple long rifles” carjacked a civilian vehicle on 0 Block of Edgewood Lane in the Levittown area of Falls Township. The shooter was identified as a black male and carjacked a  “Gold Honda CR-V”.

As of this publication, four have been reported as killed and one injured and the suspect was reportedly taken into custody after leaving the stolen vehicle at a park and fleeing on foot. This apprehension has not been confirmed.

A St. Patrick’s Day parade and celebration was scheduled for today, but has reportedly been cancelled in Falls Township due to the incident. It is not clear if the shooting occurred near the parade.
