According to Guatemalan Interior Minister Jimenez, the Guatemalan National Civil Police and General Sub-Directorate for the Analysis of Anti-Narcotics Information (SGAIA) captured the #1 wanted fugitive in the country, Mauro Gustavo Lopez, alias “Lupillo,” in a raid in the San Ramon area of Huehuetenango, Guatemala. This man has been wanted since the slaying of eight police officers Salcaja, Quetzaltenango state in 2013 in which the police station there was ambushed. This killing was attributed to a Lopez who is a member of Guayo Cano’s narcotic group.
