At approximately 0840 EST, local media in Antioquia, Colombia reported that a search operation was underway for a missing air ambulance near Yarumal. By 0900 EST, eyewitnesses had found the wreckage and published the footage below:

By 0910 EST, local media reported that four passengers were confirmed dead after the plane departed from Monteria. The aircraft was a Beech C90 King Air aircraft with registration HK4684, flying to Medellin.
It is not currently clear which carrier was operating the flight.
