As this publication reported on March 20th, 2024, the Al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas confirmed that three of their members were killed in an IDF airstrike on a vehicle in the Jenin Camp, West Bank. This morning, the Al-Quds Brigades Jenin Unit of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) announced that two members died from wounds sustained during that same strike: Commander-in-Chief in West Bank Muhammad Mamoun Hawashin and Commander of military operations Ahmed Barakat Abu Al-Hani. The announcement of Hawashin’s death reads below:
“the commander of the Jenin Brigade, who is responsible for several military operations that inflicted deaths and injuries on the ranks of the enemy, the martyr, the Mujahid Commander, Muhammad Mamoun Hawashin Abu Shadi, who rose to the top as a result of his injury after being subjected to a cowardly assassination by bombing his vehicle, along with his companions, the martyr Ahmed Barakat, the martyr Muhammad Al-Fayed, and the martyr Mahmoud Rahal.”

“…rose to the highest level following a cowardly assassination carried out by the Israeli Air Force. The martyr Mujahid Ahmed Hani Barakat The martyr Mujahid Muhammad Abdullah Fayed The martyr Mujahid Mahmoud Rahal And after the knight and the brave Mujahid Ahmed Barakat Abu Al-Hani dismounted, the commander of military operations in the Jenin Battalion “Karrar Palestine”.
