On April 10, Reuters reported that a man armed with a knife fatally stabbed one person and wounded another on Wednesday in Bordeaux, France. Police do not believe the attack is terrorism-related.
The knife attack took place at the city’s “Water Mirror” pool. The suspect was killed by police after the attack.
France is currently at its highest security alert, due to recent threats by the Islamic State and in preparation for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris.
France is deploying 10,000 military troops to Paris for a security operation during the time of the Summer Olympics, according to Spectrum News.
