Trump Mega Donor Comments on U.S. Strategy with China

John Paulson, a mega-donor for former President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, hosted a USD 50 million fundraiser and has been suggested to be the next Treasury Secretary if Trump wins the election. Recently he commented on the importance of the relationship between the U.S. and China. 

“China is the second-largest economy in the world. We need to have a good economic and political relationship with them,” stated Paulson while speaking to the Financial Times. He continued to emphasize that the economic connections with Beijing were extremely critical and necessary for the well-being of the American economy.

John Paulson is a hedge fund manager based out of New York City with an estimated net worth of USD 3 billion.
