Iran Official Says Contact Made with Presidential Helicopter Crash Site

UPDATE: This has been denied by IRNA.

Vice President for Executive Affairs Mohsen Mansouri has told state media outlet Fars that contact has been made with two passengers from the helicopter that crashed while transporting Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, however, he made no mention of their condition.

Earlier today, Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi stated that no contact had been made with the crash site despite various claims made by state media outlets throughout the day.

The location of the crash site, as well as the conditions of those on board, remain unknown.
