Footage has emerged online claiming to show the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Refinery in Rostov, Russia, on fire following reported Ukrainian drone strikes against the facility.

The location of the video was confirmed with geolocation, showing that the fire next to the main refinery tower (GEO: 47.8366286, 39.8517684).
An interesting thing to note is that the refinery tower appears to have some form of netting around it, likely added in an attempt to prevent strikes after it was first targeted by Ukrainian explosive drones in June 2022.
Ukrainian drones continue to pose a threat to oil refineries deep inside Russia as their low flight altitude makes detection and interception difficult. The past several months have seen increased targeting of refineries across western Russia.
