Six Russian Terrorists Arrested in Sting Across U.S.

According to the New York Post, six Russian nationals with ties to ISIS have been arrested in New York, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia. According to the Post which spoke exclusively with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) ,six Russian nationals from Tajikistan were arrested in a nationwide sting operation after a wiretap of one of the men released from the Southern border led the agency to their terror affiliation.

The NYP reported the following:

“The target who was subject to the wiretap was previously released by federal authorities at the southern border with a court date next year, however it has since emerged he has potential ties to ISIS, sources said.”

This follows the Moscow terror attack in March 2024 in which multiple Tajik nationals were arrested, drawing backlash from the Tajik Foreign Ministry over concerns of racism. It seems that a hotbed of international terror is emerging in Afghanistan’s northern neighbor, exacerbated by the porous U.S. southern border where at least one of these men infiltrated.

The FBI or ICE have not made a public statement as of this publication.
