Ukraine Announces Creation of “Unmanned Systems Force” as New Military Branch

Ukraine has announced the creation of a new military branch, which will focus on unmanned weapons development and implementation on the battlefield.

The “Unmanned Systems Force” will be commanded by Vadym Sukharevsky, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to the Ukrainian Military Portal, the Unmanned Systems Force “will be tasked with providing units with drones, their support, recruiting and training specialists, as well as planning military operations involving unmanned systems.”

“We showed the whole world today that Ukraine has moved away from a conservative approach. Today we set a precedent. Thus, we are ready to dictate the rules of this war for further success,” stated Sukharevsky.
