Poland Charges Two Russian Nationals for Wagner Membership and Recruiting

The Krakow, Poland District Court has indicted two Russian nationals for not only Wagner membership, but also attempting to recruit Polish citizens for the now-defunct Russian-aligned mercenary group.

According to the court announcement, Andrei G. and Alex T. are convicted of “foreign intelligence and of participating in an international armed association aimed at committing terrorist crimes, i.e. acts under Article 130 § 1 of the Penal Code, Article 258 § 2 of the Penal Code, Article 142 § 2 of the Penal Code and others.”

Their activities included putting up recruitment stickers in Krakow and Warsaw and directly contacting several Polish citizens to solicit their membership.

The men were initially arrested on August 11th, 2023, and are being held in pre-trial confinement.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has not commented on this announcement as of this publication.
