Iranian Navy Admiral Killed

Local Iranian media is reported that Admiral Beitaleh Devsalar was killed in the line of duty in the last 24 hours, although they do not mention where or how. The article reads:

“According to the announcement of the Navy Command of Nowshahr City, Setwanikam, the Admiral of Bait Eleh Devsalar was martyred while carrying out his mission”.

It is also not clear at this moment where the officer was killed. This will be updated when more information is available. There has been no announcement attaching the blame to Israel.

It is important to realize that Nowshahr Naval Command is in charge of Iran’s Naval Flotilla on the Caspian Sea, probably indicating the officer was not killed in action, but rather training or a mishap.
