Interim President Damiba Resigns, Military Coup Complete in Burkina Faso

Burkina Faso Coup Leader Captain Ibrahim Traore has accepted the resignation of interim President Damiba (pictured) who took power in a coup last year. This will supposedly end the bitter fighting between military forces loyal to both parties.

Captain Traore is now head of state for Burkina Faso and has pledged to honor ECOWAS commitments and continue reforms .
