Explosion at Mosque in Samangan, Afghanistan

At approximately 0510 EST, reports began to emerge of a large explosion in the Aybak area of Samangan, Afghanistan. Initial reports said that at least 10 students were killed and injured at a religious school in the Northern Afghanistan city.

By 0522 EST, local Afghan media confirmed that at least 15 were killed and 27 were injured in the deadliest bombing since the Summer. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far and no media has emerged showing the aftermath of the attack as of writing this post.

However, the Interim Afghan Interior Ministry has confirmed the bombing via their statement below.
