U.S. Drone Incident Over Black Sea

U.S. Drone Incident Over Black Sea

Date:

According to anonymous reports made to AFP, a U.S. made drone had an air-to-air incident over the Black Sea. The source said:

“Something happened but we don’t have confirmation that the drone has been shot down. An investigation is underway,” one of two Western sources who confirmed “an incident” told AFP.

It is not clear if the drone was being operated by American forces or if it had been shot down. This is developing.

However, the story seems significant considering a British RC-135 Rivet Joint was fired at by Russian fighter jets back in September. This may be another incident involving Russian TACAIR.
