Steven Seagal is Making a Documentary About the War in Ukraine

American actor and martial artist Steven Seagal recently told Russian journalists that he is working on a documentary about Russia’s “special military operation.”

Last August, Russian media reported that he was filming a documentary in Russian-occupied areas of the Donbas.

However, we haven’t heard anything else about Seagal’s documentary until he talked about it a few days ago.

For those who don’t know, Steven Seagal was granted Russian citizenship in 2014 and has been a longtime supporter of Putin and Russia’s military operations.

In 2014, Seagal began publicly supporting the Kremlin when he visited the then-recently annexed Crimea and stated that fascists controlled Ukraine and that the Russian invasion of Crimea was justified.

Also, a couple of months ago, Vladimir Putin awarded Seagal the Russian Order of Friendship for his “major contribution to the development of international cultural and humanitarian cooperation.”

With all this being known, it isn’t a surprise that Seagal’s documentary will be a pro-Russian one.

Russian media quoted Seagal as saying, “Now in development is a documentary film about the events that take place in the NWO zone, because I believe that this is a big task – to show us and the whole world what is really happening there, to show the whole truth, to prove and show that it was not our invasion, as other countries of the world say, in particular, representatives of NATO, the United States, and other countries.”

As far as we know, the release date for the documentary has not been publicly stated.
