Sierra Leone presidential candidate Samura Kamara, of the All Peoples Congress (APC) Party, has reported that military forces have surrounded and opened fire on the party headquarters, further calling the actions an attempted assassination.

Tweeting out during the situation, Kamara said “I have been barricaded in my APC party headquarters during my live press conference. Live bullets and tear gassed fires at my offices by government forces,” adding “What is my country defending into. Is this an assignation attempt on our lives with my running mate?”
