4 Palestinians have been killed with at least one other injured as Israel launches a series of more than 10 airstrikes on Jenin, stating they are targeting “terrorist infrastructure”. Some of those killed belong to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group. Following airstrikes a large convoy of well over 100 Israeli vehicles, including bulldozers, entered Jenin.

The Palestinian side has claimed that Israeli strikes have hit a house, an apartment building, as well as a mosque. They also have claimed the primary gate to Jenin to have been destroyed.

The IDF has stated that the success of the next few hours will determine if the operation, named operation “Home and Garden”, will be longstanding or not.

They also referred to Jenin as a “terror safe haven”. Israel’s Iron Dome system has been deployed around Gaza in anticipation of retaliatory rockets fired from Gaza, as often follows Israeli action in the West Bank.

Clashes have drastically escalated in the last few weeks, particularly after Israel used both a drone and a helicopter during combat operations for the first time in over 20 years.
