Hamas Calls for General Mobilization

Hamas Calls for General Mobilization

Date:

Hamas has released a lengthy statement which calls for a “general mobilization in our Arab and Islamic world” to “stand in solidarity with our Palestinian people and their resistance”. They have called for this to come “next Friday”, calling it the “Friday of Al-Aqsa Flood”.

While calls like this are not entirely uncommon amongst militant groups, the influence Hamas wields and support they have received from portions of foreign civilian populations in the current fighting may yield some results, though for now it is unclear if anyone will heed their call.

Their call joins a similar, but more limited call from the Lions’ Den two days ago which called for popular protest against Israel in order to show support to Gaza as well as potentially block roadways used by the IDF. A large crowd gathered in Nablus, but the protest was reportedly broken up by the Palestinian Authority.

Hamas’s full statement may be read below:

In the name of Allah, the most gracious, the most merciful

“Go forth, light and heavy, and strive with your wealth and your souls in the cause of Allah. This is better for you, if you only knew”.

A call to our Palestinian people, the masses of the Arab and Islamic nation, and the free people of the world

General mobilization announcement:

Next Friday, “Friday of the Al-Aqsa Flood”

In order to support Al-Quds, Al-Aqsa, and the fighting Gaza.

Palestine and its steadfast and patient people are calling you from the heart of the Al-Aqsa Flood battle. Heed the call, mobilize all energies, and mobilize, light and heavy, to support Al-Quds, Al-Aqsa, and the struggling Gaza.

From Palestine, the land of the Journey [of the Prophet], and from Al-Quds and its outskirts, we raise this call to the hearts and ears of the living conscience in the hearts of the masses of our Arab and Islamic nation.

Here is the Palestinian resistance, led by the Izz El-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, writing the most wonderful pictures of epics of heroism and redemption against the zionist occupation, in defense of the land, Al-Quds, and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, defending the dignity of the stationed women of Palestine, and in victory for our free prisoners and glorious women prisoners, on behalf of the entire nation.

From the citadel of resistance and pride in the Gaza Strip, from its patient and stationed people, from its men, women, children, and elderly, the stubborn cradle against occupation, and from its minarets, niches, and mosques, which are subjected to the most horrific barbaric aggression by the zionist war machine, we send this call to the free people of our Arab and Islamic nation in all around the world.

In the light of this historic achievement for our people and their valiant resistance, and in support of the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in facing the open occupation war, and as a failure to the plans and dreams of Judaizing Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa, and as a victory for the just cause of our Palestinian people and our struggle to liberate the land, the prisoners, and the Journey [of the Prophet, Al-Quds], we, in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), affirm the following:

Firstly: Declaring next Friday as “Friday of Al-Aqsa Flood” as a day of general mobilization in our Arab and Islamic world and for the free people of the world, to stand in solidarity with our Palestinian people and their resistance. It is a day to gather support, solidarity, and participation, a day to expose the crimes of the occupation, isolate it, and thwart all its aggressive schemes. It is a day to show our love for Palestine, Al-Quds, and Al-Aqsa, a day of redemption, heroism, sacrifice, and the honour of defending the first Qibla of Muslims, the third holiest site, and the ascension of the trustworthy Prophet.

Secondly: We salute our revolutionary youth in all of the West Bank, in its cities, villages, and uprising camps, and in the neighborhoods and districts of Al-Quds and the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. We call them for mass mobilization, to shake the ground beneath the feet of the zionist invaders and their herds of settlers, to confront their soldiers and cowardly army everywhere, affirming the unity of fate and the path towards Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa, and their liberation from the desecration of the zionist fascist occupation.

Thirdly: O our people in the occupied interior of 1948, O people of dignity and heroism, those who have endured much to preserve their Palestinian Arab identity, this day is your day to mobilize, gather, and unite in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. Let us protect it, its Islamic character, and its heavenly message. Let us prevent the settler herds from desecrating it and foil the fascist occupation’s plans to divide and Judaize it, and to build its alleged Temple. Let us unify with the sons of your people in Gaza and the West Bank.

Fourthly: We call upon the masses of our Arab and Islamic nation and the masses of our Palestinian people everywhere, in refugee camps and in the diaspora, to march towards the borders of beloved Palestine in massive crowds, declaring our solidarity with Palestine, Al-Quds, and Al-Aqsa. If geography prevents them, let them gather at the nearest point towards Al-Aqsa.

Fifthly: We call upon the free people of the world to mobilize in solidarity with our Palestinian people and to support their just cause and legitimate rights to freedom, independence, return, and self-determination.

O sons of our people, O masses of our Arab and Islamic nation, O all free people,

Palestine calls upon you, and Al-Aqsa calls upon you, waiting for you to fulfill the duty of brotherhood and dignity to participate with our people and their resistance, the honour of defending the blessed land of Palestine and defending the dignity and glory of the nation in its Quds and its ascension [of the Prophet, Al-Quds.]

“Allah will certainly support those who support Him. Verily, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.”
