IDF Personnel Injured by Hezbollah Shelling, Ramyeh

At approximately 0953 red-alerts were issued in Northern Israel after gunfire and indirect fire salvos exchanged between Israeli Defense Forces and Hezbollah. Israeli sources confirmed that at least one was injured by shrapnel and a fire broke out due to rocket impact on Route 5 in Beit Shemesh, Israel.

By 1000 EST, Hezbollah sources had confirmed that they had fired rockets that resulted in these injuries. The announcement is below:

“In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Permission has been given to those who fight because they have been wronged, and indeed, God is able to grant them victory.” The Mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance targeted five Israeli sites, namely: the Misgav General site, Khirbet Al-Manara, Harmon, the Risha site, and the Ramiya site. Israel and Hezbollah have exchanged several salvos of direct and indirect fires since the October 7th incursion by Hamas which killed more than 1200 Israelis. The Palestinian Authority has reported that more than 2300 Palestinians have been killed and more than 10,000 have been injured since the Israeli reaction to the Hamas attack.

These reports also came as several rockets fired from the al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas. Those rockets impacted in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, sending Knesset representatives into bomb shelters as Iron Dome intercepted several, but not all, of the projectiles. From that barrage, casualties have been reported in Holon as of this publication.
