Ukraine and Russian Federation Conduct Body Exchange

Russian Duma Member Saraliev of the Russian Federation and the Ukrainian Coordination Headquarters for Treatment of Prisoners has confirmed that both sides swapped bodies of each others’ fallen soldiers. Ukraine received the bodies of 50 soldiers, while the Russian Federation received 60 bodies.

The announcement from the Ukrainian government reads below:

”As a result of the measures conducted today returned 50 fallen defenders of Ukraine

Today, according to the results of repatriation measures, the Ukrainian side managed to return to the control territory of the body (remains) of 50 dead (dead) defenders of Ukraine.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine will provide the proper and safe transport of repatrijovani for transfer to representatives of law enforcement agencies and forensic experts for the purpose of organizing and conducting investigative actions and forensic examinations.

The implementation of the event was carried out by the Coordinating Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners and became possible through interaction with the United Center at the SB of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (Secretariat of the Ombudsman for Missing Persons in Special Circumstances), the Ministry of Security of Ukraine (TSU CVS), the State of Ukraine in the Sumy Region, the Police of Ukraine, other representatives of the sector structures security and defense of Ukraine for the assistance and direct participation of the representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross.”

The announcement from Duma Member Saraliev reads below:

”Today, the Russian Ministry of Defense transferred the bodies of dead servicemen. 60 bodies of dead soldiers were handed over to the Russian side.”
