At approximately 1430 EST, a man carried out a stabbing attack on two victims at the Mazmuria Checkpoint in Jerusalem. The suspect was killed on sight by security forces.
Hamas praised the attack and urged others to carry out lone-wolf attacks in Israel. That statement reads below:
”The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas blesses the heroic operation carried out by the martyr, Mujahid Ahmed Adeeb Khalil Alian, son of the town of Al-Mukaber in occupied Jerusalem, at the military checkpoint called “Mazmoria” south of occupied Jerusalem.
This operation came as a natural response from our people to the Nazi massacres and crimes committed by the Zionist occupation in the Gaza Strip and throughout Palestine, and it confirms that our people are continuing to resist the occupation in every part of our land.
We call on our people in the West Bank and the occupied interior to engage in more operations and clashes with the Zionist enemy by all possible means.”
