Iran State Media Report at least 50 Dead in Double Bombing at Soleimani Memorial

Iranian state media have reported that at least 50 people are dead after two explosive devices detonated during a memorial service for IRGC General Qasem Soleimani in the city of Kerman, Iran.

Fars News Agency and Tasnim have risen the death toll to at least 50, with an additional 70 being wounded by the blasts.

The attack comes on the four year anniversary of the killing on Soleimani by an American drone strike in Iraq. The anniversary normally draws in large crowds to Kerman, where Soleimani is buried.

It remains unclear who was behind the attack.
