The Argentine Ministry of Security has confirmed that three men are in custody after attempting to carry out a terrorist attack on the Jewish Pan American Maccabi Games in Beunos Aires.
The Argentine Federal Police, in coordination with the Anti-Terrorist Investigation Unit of the Superintendence of Federal Investigations, managed to find the whereabouts of the three people in the midst of a joint investigation between the National Directorate of Criminal Intelligence (DINIC) and the Airport Security Police (PSA).
The men were located after a parcel was sent to them from Yemen. One of the Syrian men entered from Venezuela with a passport from that country and a Lebanese man entered from Colombia with an appropriate passport from that country. The diplomatic status of the third man was not disclosed.

The Maccabi Games end on January 4th and have been ongoing since December 23rd, 2023.
