North Korea Conducts Multiple Projectile Launches

Date:

Update (1027): South Korean President says that the low altitude manner of the projectiles resulted in an almost 40 minute delay of initial reporting. The South Korean National Security Office is currently holding a security review over the launches. This was not a missile launch, number in 2022 still holding at 18.

Update (0945): South Korean General Staff believes the launches today “may have been artillery”.

Update (2129): North Korea has fired up to five projectiles from its Western Coast, a sharp departure from the usual launch site near Pyongyang.

South Korean Joint Chiefs are saying that North Korea has just launched multiple missiles into the Sea of Japan.

This is the 19th launch of 2022 and only a week after North Korea launched a salvo of eight short range ballistic missiles.

This is developing.
