Russian Su-30SM Crashes Into Irkutsk Neighborhood

A Russian Su-30SM has crashed into a two story residential building in Irkutsk. Both pilots were killed in the test flight after the aircraft departed the manufacturing plant of the United Aircraft Corporation an hour ago.

Emergency services have extinguished the fire and the Investigative Committee has opened an account for reasons of “safety violations”.

Earlier last week a Russian Su-34 crashed into a residential apartment building in Yeysk, Russia, killing 6. However, at this time no deaths have been reported on the ground. Two high profile training crashed in the last week May be indicative of the combat stress on the Russian Aerospace Forces after 8 months of sustained operations in Ukraine.
