Kim Jong Un’s Daughter Makes Rare Public Appearance

To mark the 75th anniversary of the founding of North Korea’s Army, Kim Jong Un visited troops at a feast held at an unspecified location.

But what caught the eye of observers was that Kim Jong Un brought his daughter in tow.

Kim’s daughter, Kim Je Ae sat next to her father and stood close to him as he shook hands with top officials.

This is her fourth public appearance that the outside world is aware of.

Since news from the hermit country is limited, analysts observe these types of state events very carefully as they are a brief window into the world of North Korea.

Some pointed out that Kim’s decision to bring his daughter along is likely a statement to remind the world that he has no plans to relinquish his nuclear weapons.

Kim views his nukes as the best way for his family and their rule in North Korea to continue.

State media very graciously described Kim’s daughter. She has in the past been called “respected and “beloved” by state media and it has led some to speculate if she is being positioned to take power after Kim.
