Russian Pilots Exchanged for Azovstal Defenders

The Russian Ministry of Defense and Ukrainian Presidential Administration Head Yervak have confirmed that a prisoner exchange swapped forty-five Azovstal Plant defenders for three Russian pilots.

The message from the Russian MoD reads below:

“As a result of a complex negotiation process, three Russian military personnel, pilots of the Russian Aerospace Forces, who were in mortal danger in captivity, were returned from the territory controlled by the Kyiv regime.”

There has not been a prisoner exchange since April 10th in which 106 Russian service members were swapped.
