U.S. Service Members Injured, IRGC General Reportedly Killed in Rocket Exchange, Attacks Ongoing

Three U.S. service members were injured in rocket attacks that this publication reported on yesterday near the Support Sire Conoco in Syria. One service member has already been returned to duty, while two are still under observation. Yesterday’s exchanges abated by about 2330 EST. US CENTCOM announced that probably two or three militants were killed by helicopter strikes.

However, this morning at approximately 0200 EST, U.S. drones carried out strikes against leadership cells of IRGC backed militia in Deir Ezzor, Syria, specifically  Mayadain, where Pro-Iraqi militia claimed that multiple people were killed including IRGC General Gholmerg. The message reads:

“The martyrdom of Iranian General Sardar Akbar Gholmerg as a result of the recent American strikes on the headquarters of the Revolutionary Guards in the squares east of Deir Ezzor confirmed to us that the general is the main responsible for training and equipping Hezbollah elements on precision missiles. There is no power but from God.”

As of writing this article, Syrian state media have reported that a second rocket attack has just struck the Conoco Support Facility, targeting base housing of US forces. This is developing.
