U.S. Navy Foils Iranian Seizure of Unmanned Surface Vessel

The United States Navy has released the following footage showing the IRGC Support Ship, Shahid Baziar illegally towing and attempting to detain the Saildrone Explorer unmanned surface vessel in international waters of the Arabian Gulf today.

In response, the U.S. Navy patrol coastal ship USS Thunderbolt (PC 12) was dispatched as well as an MH-60S which chased away the Iranian vessel after it detached its tow-cable. The CENTCOM message confirming the incident reads below:
