Iran Supreme Leader Khomeini Blasts West, Is ‘Saddened’ by the Death of Amini in Rare Speech

In a rare public address, Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei lambasted the West as the cause of the nation suede riots that have resulted in more than 90 deaths at the hands of security forces over the brutal killing of Mahsa Amini.

He said traitorous Iranians abroad helped the U.S. and Israel stage riots and insecurities across the country, and that law enforcement agencies including the Basij Resistance Front have been wronged by protestors. He added that the riots were not “normal or planned” and seemed to have organization, all without mentioning the slaying of Amini.

He then said later in the speech that her death was unfortunate and a sad event for all of us, but the Wests sympathies only exist to create chaos in Iran.

He specifically mentioned President Biden when he said that riots happen everywhere around the world, but the President of the U.S. rarely comments on those.

These comments were made at a joint graduation ceremony for the cadets studying in the academies of the Armed Forces, Monday Oct 3, 2022 at Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba (pbuh) University of Officer and Police Training.
