Russians Say Ukrainians Attempt Amphibious Assault on Zaporizhzia NPP, Fail

According to Russian sources, over the course of the last hour, a failed amphibious assault across the Dnieper River was conducted against the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and the city of Enerhodar. Several Ukrainian boats and 30 servicemen have been killed according to the Russians.

“Those who were at night, most of them were sunk. About 30 people were counted. A significant part of the boats were sunk, and some of the militants were destroyed. The rest turned around and went back”, Russian appointed Governor of the occupied region Evgeny Balitsky said.

According to him, there was also “reconnaissance in force” in the area between Vasilyevka and Tokmak. Their main goal, as before, is to “probe” the defense, Balitsky added.
