North Korea Launches Ballistic Missile and Aircraft

At approximately 1200 EST, the South Korean Air Force scrambled F-35a to monitor 10 North Korean aircraft that were traveling towards the Special Reconnaissance Line. Shortly after, at approximately 1245, the South Korean and Japanese governments confirmed that North Korea had launched a probable ballistic missile into the Sea of Japan.

The last launch was October 8th when two missiles were fired.  The launch of two cruise missiles yesterday has not been confirmed by South Korean authorities, but as for reporting, this page will include them in the number. This is the 24th launch day of 2022 for a total of 46 projectiles ranging from submarine launch and train-launched ballistic missiles to cruise missiles, to reported hypersonics to ICBMs.
