Since 1330 EST, a police operation has been underway at the Woodstock-Houston border crossing between Canada and the United States. Moments ago, Canadian Border Services confirmed an incident occurred and Maine State Police confirmed they had fired shots at a man who they claimed had explosives in his vehicle. The announcement is below:
UPDATE | @MEStatePolice a man claiming to have an "explosive device" in his truck is what closed the border in Houlton today.
A state trooper then shot at the man as he drove towards the border. They weren't injured.
