Drug Smuggler Killed by Israeli Soldiers on Egypt Border

Reuters is reporting a drug smuggler attempting to cross the Egypt-Israel border has been killed. The IDF is yet to reveal the type of drugs being trafficked.

Soldiers were said to be deployed after sightings of several smugglers at two different locations across the border. The Israeil soldiers engaged with live fire against the smugglers, shooting and killing one. The smuggler was said to receive treatment from the soldiers but later died.

Reuters said smuggling attempts across the border are occuring on a weekly basis now. There have recently been numerous large-scale smuggling attempts thwarted including a 165kg drug bust on October 8th this year, and a $2.5 million cocaine and hash bust on July 3rd.
