Large scale counter-offensives by Ukrainian troops at Hostomel, with Ukraine’s Presidential Advisor reporting that the city has not been lost and that fighting continues. Hostomel will be a key battle as its loss will open up an air bridge for operations to Kyiv. Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Deputy Defense Minister says that fighting continues in Sumy and has released a statement saying “We appeal to the citizens of Ukraine who are ready to destroy the enemy – one bottle of an incendiary mixture from the balcony or shooting from small arms at a car with the enemy’s personnel – are irreparable losses of the enemy.”
